What are the cha­rac­te­ris­tics of post­par­tum depression?

Fee­lings during post­par­tum depres­si­on are: sad­ness, loss of enthu­si­asm and apathy.

Nega­ti­ve fee­lings last for over 2 weeks.

If you are fee­ling low after giving birth, it could also be a sign of baby blues. Howe­ver, the nega­ti­ve fee­lings asso­cia­ted with baby blues will sub­si­de after 2 weeks without tre­at­ment. If the sym­ptoms per­sist lon­ger, you may be suf­fe­ring from post­par­tum depression.
